Transferring a Boat

1.  Letter from the institute on letterhead with explanation on what they will use the equipment for.  Send it to your Personal Property Office Representative (PPOR) as soon as you get it, for GSA approval

2.  The letter should also state who by name will actually be accepting the equipment.   "The ABC Institute is looking for donation of (type of boat) for fishery research in Washington that is being worked by our graduate students. etc." (good explanation)

"We understand that NOAA may have these type boats to donate.  Joe Smith our logistic technician is the POC for this action he can be reached at 333-333-3333..."

3.  The PPOR will work with the line office to complete a SF 122 and have GSA sign off on it

4.  You must also complete a CD-50 form send it to the PPOR. They assign it a number and fax it back to you when the institute picks up the item they will sign the bottom as receiving it and whoever gives it to them will also sign.

5.  You will request a final event in the system.

6.  PPOR will approve the final event and the item will come off your inventory.

Final paperwork consists of:
